With over 30 years of history, SBSR faces the constant challenge of "modernizing the legacy." The digital platform must manage massive surges in traffic during lineup reveals and ticket launches, while providing essential logistics for fans navigating venues like the Herdade do Cabeço da Flauta in Meco or urban arenas in Lisbon.

The Solution

A unified digital strategy that prioritizes utility and immediate access to the "Authentic" festival experience:

  • Dynamic Lineup & Personal Agenda: A real-time poster that allows users to filter by stage and favorite artists. The app sends push notifications 15 minutes before a selected show starts to ensure fans never miss a set.

  • Friend Finder & GPS Utilities: Integrated geolocation tools that help users find their friends in the crowd or locate where they parked their car in the extensive festival lots.

  • Cashless & Contactless Integration: Support for Tap-to-Pay and self-payment technologies, allowing festival-goers to bypass long beverage lines and spend more time at the stages.

  • SBSR Radio Stream: Direct integration of the SBSR.fm radio feed within the app, providing a year-round "soundtrack" of indie and rock music that keeps the brand relevant outside the festival dates.
