Tremor

Tremor

Project Narrative

Tremor is geographically dispersed and inherently unpredictable. With "secret" concerts in remote locations and varying venue capacities (from 150 to full festival scale), the primary challenge is providing clear logistical guidance without ruining the sense of adventure and discovery.

The Solution

A unified digital strategy that balances "surprise and delight" with high-utility features to manage the festival’s unique constraints:

  • Secret Revelation System: Coordinates the "Tremor na Estufa" and "Todo-o-Terreno" experiences by releasing secret locations and meeting points for the festival buses only on the day of the event.

  • Capacity Indicators: A real-time labeling system in the app (Capacity I, II, and III) that warns users about venue sizes, helping manage expectations and crowd flow for smaller, intimate venues.

  • Integrated Logistics: A "Guidance" hub that centralizes shuttle bus routes, wristband exchange locations, and "Cashless" payment system management, crucial for a cashless event in remote areas.

  • Personalized Discovery: A favorites system that allows users to build an itinerary across 5 days, sending push notifications before performances begin.

Design Strategy

The visual identity for 2026 explores Azorean architectural heritage, reimagining vernacular aesthetics and textures through the interface. The design prioritizes "offline-first" accessibility, recognizing that remote volcanic lagoons and coastal trails often have limited mobile connectivity.

Results

The app transforms the entire island of São Miguel into a manageable stage. It allows organizers to communicate safety protocols—such as the "Safe Zones" and harassment reporting system—while ensuring that the logistical complexity of an island-wide event does not overshadow the artistic experience.
